Sorry–I stand corrected. I thought that all the increases expired in 7 years. So, of course, it is not too early to discuss an extension. If I had my druthers, there would have been no expiration, unless the State were to pile up more reserves than needed.

You’re wrong, seesaw. The quarter-percent sales tax increase in Prop 30 expires in 2016.
And if you think it’s “a little early to discuss an extension” then you should write liberal dem legislator Mark Leno a letter and tell him to keep his mouth shut about it. He’s the one making the biggest fuss about the tax money disappearing.

Since the Prop. 30 taxes don’t expire until 2019, isn’t it a little early to discuss an extension? The temporary taxes that GAS passed expired as scheduled. Wait until 2017 to see what the state’s economic situation will be and whether or not the taxes should be extended.

Once again, liberals screwed the taxpayers with straightforward lies using words like temporary, short time or the best one yet – it has a sunset clause. Lost count on the last one on how many are still in play after the sunset expiration date either as a tax or as fee (another new word for tax along with a blatant avoidance of the rule of law).
