I really appreciate reading so many, and detailed, direct quotes from public officials at hearings. It explains the situation better, in many cases, than a paraphrase would. It also gives a better picture of the interactions and conflicts. Keep it up.

I am 68 so my thinking is a little slow. This boondoggle of money is supposed to be spent to reduce CO2 not to feed the poor. So why is there a fight about how to spend it. Subsidize businesses and home owners to reduce energy to reduce CO2. This fight only proves the state really does not care about CO2 levels it is about the money.

As companies leave and take employees with them the state is fighting over another boondoggle of money. Tax anything that moves in CA. Soon there will be no business left in Ca to collect this boondoggle from. So what then will the politicians do to keep the gravy train coming? Tax the poor? I have great idea let all the govt workers in Ca pay for the boondoggles they are creating from their pay check. It would stop overnight.
Govt all levels and especially Ca believe there is a never ending flow of tax money to be stolen for any idiotic idea the govt dreams up.
It is going to stop and when it does I pity anyone in govt at that point.
