We have regional monopolies in the state that control natural gas and electricity markets with no competition. Then there is the Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project that is unfolding in communities with much uproar as monster sized high voltage power poles and lines are erected in residential areas. This is a billion dollar Wind Energy boondoogle that taxpayers and ratepayers will be paying through the nose with skyrocketing electricity costs.
