And what detrimental effect are you suffering caused by Steinberg? Put up or shut up--or I will say that the biggest danger to all in CA is people like you!

Hundreds of people in the Inland Empire ride to work every day via the Metrolink trains. For the most part, they are thankful to have that service so that they don't have to drive on our crowded freeways.

Steinberg should be punished in whatever by the most extreme legal method available. He's a complete, utter, idiot and ideologue. A danger to us all. I'm not sure he's even sentient.

I can't think of a single person that's had a more detrimental effect on all of CA than Steinberg. May he rot in Hell.

I think everybody should get on board with ALL these Mass Transit programs, so much so,that what we really need is for our Public Servants and Public Employees to personally demonstrate their commitment to Mass Transit by making it MANDATORY for ALL Public Employees and Public Servants to use Mass Transit to and from their Public Jobs. Drive to work, your FIRED!!

Look at where California is rich and look where there is poverty. The areas of greatest population density like San Francisco-San Jose are the richest areas of the state and of the country for that matter. Mass transit makes sense in these area but you'd think the richest areas of the state could pay a little more for their local mass transit.
One thing that does not come across in this is where does the money come from that funds mass transit. This report has a break down: http://www.cbp.org/pdfs/2006/0609_transportationprimer.pdf 90% comes from cars and trucks. From what I understand, California's roads have been starved for maintenance funds for decades and are in terrible shape. With an AB 32 gas tax starting on Jan 1 coupled with some of the highest gas taxes and vehicle fees in the country, you essentially have a very regressive funding mechanism to support a wealthy urban public transportation. With nearly a third of the states residents living below the poverty line and plenty of poverty in rural areas, perhaps its time to foster class warfare between blue collar working class voters and wealthy green elites in the Democratic party.
