Bill… you are fooling yourself….. you are just one more of the silly suckers that have bought into the government propaganda….
YOU do NOT “own’ anything. You were fooled into “thinking”/”believing” you owned a house or land… that was perpetrated to “keep you quiescent and docile”.. as long as you could congratulate yourself that “Ohhhh….. I am so smart, I PAID off my mortgage so I am no secure and I OWN my house… I am SAFE”!
You either don’t understand or you are afraid to understand.
The LAW reads that “All property resides in the STATE”… verbatim.
What did the law just tell your gullible brain? THEY “own” your property, you don’t….. and when push comes to shove they will claim their RIGHT to the property and you will be sitting on the curb.

For starters, just get hit by something unexpected and don’t pay the annual TAX on that property for about three years and see what happens….
…. and there are many many other instances wherein the government, (any one of them) can confiscate what you THINK is “your property”……
Do a little research, and quit buying the brainwashing that keeps you a half-wit.

Same here– paid off the ranch years ago— living is easy— many of these teabaggy whiners out here will never pay off the homestead, have huge credit bills and still continue to moan—- I have zero sympathy for them!
