It’s always gratifying to see a police state goon like Nappy get a public smack down. Very appropriate treatment of someone who is basically an authoritarian creep.

As someone who’s child is currently in the UC system, I find it quite expensive enough already! Trying to pass a 28% increase on top of the existing bloated tuition shows what a pack of greedy parasites and self serving hypocrites run the California University system.

Make the University employees and administrators take a 28% pay cut. For the children 🙂

As an aside, check the comments of UC Regent, Eddie Island, who is dismayed we want Cal to graduate jocks. It is sad, the year is so young, and this idiot has won the stupidest comment of 2015. He wants them to play sports and get the campus experience. Hey, beat up some people, do some drugs…Go Bears.

On the subject of the tuition increase, I, like most alums from UC Berkeley, just received an email from Bruce Varner, Chairman of the UC Board of Regents. The essence is to be aware of budget negotiations underway between the state and UC and that we would be called upon “in the not-so-distant future to make the case for the University in the budget process…” In addition, “…this is a high stakes proposition. The state and the University of California literally have grown up together, and in my (Mr. Varner’s) view each has benefited from this symbiotic relationship. One would not be the same without the other.”

OK, I’ll be ready. Frankly, with all this academic chaos, I still sense Governor Brown is maneuvering for a run at the U.S. Presidency. But, is Napolitano doing the same for a run at the governorship?
