The reason it does exist has more to do with the crooked nature of the people that inhabit the blue costume and their penchant for sociopathic behavior. What better place is there for a sociopath to hide their deviant traits than behind a wall of blue defended by those with the same disorder.
Cops should be overseen by non-police citizens, with the power to discipline, demote, and fire for acts obtuse to the rights of a citizen. 🙂
