“By 2016,” Mother Jones noted, “solar is projected to be as cheap or cheaper than electricity from the conventional grid in every state except three.”
Will this be achieved by (1)bringing the cost of solar down,(2) raising the cost of conventional generation, or(3) a combination of 1 & 2 ?
My guess is (2).

Hey, guys? Regarding this:

California officials, The Verge pointed out, have set out a policy goal of 1.3 gigawatts of storage by 2020.

Gigawatts is a unit of power. One does not store power, one stores, consumes, and pays for energy. The conflation of the two is a principle bait-and-switch employed by green fraudsters in rosy capability assessments published in the popular press, as in "enough energy to run 20,000 homes" -- as though it were actually working 24/7. How many GWh do they propose to store? (Batteries are typically rated in ampere-hours, which is a proxy for watt-hours.) It's absolutely vital this bullshit be called every single time it appears, because it is central to the fraud of green energy "sources". My own axiom is this: we will know an energy source is worth a damn when politicians seek to tax it.

SDG&E are in the process of dismantling San Onofre Necular Power Plant. A plant that is already attached to the electrical drid and is right on the Ocean. Did anyone ever think about putting a turbine that is turned by the Ocean currents in the water just outside San O and connecting that to San O's grid. That would be sustainable energy at very little cost since everything is already at that site?
