How do you have slavery in a free market? The slave owner would be charged with assault, kidnapping, and sometimes murder. Slavery only works on an institutional level when government jumps in and makes different rules for business. When the State says "Oh, that person isn't a person, he's actually an agricultural tool!"

How about this Lorena. Let's have the companies where employees work on these holidays double their prices on those days to cover the labor costs. As a former nurse, I worked plenty of holidays without extra pay, and felt that it was MY decision to choose that line of work. Hospitals, hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and any other companies with employees working on holidays as Lorena points out... double your prices on holidays!

"...........how employers should be dealt with."

----said the Commandant of the Re-education Camp.

The answer is: "harshly".

And this is the mentality that will propel an innovative, dynamic and entrepreneurial California in the 21st Century?

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL..................

To all of you statist types on here - the Doomers ARE right, you know. It's just a matter of time. We can argue about whether we are in the 3rd, 5th, or 7th inning.......but the outcome is already determined.
