I hope the taxpayers in San Diego do all they can to keep the Chargers! From the sound of it, they will. In fact now is the time while our economy is BOOMING so the window of opportunity is here. Cmon San Diego, SHOW ME YOUR LIGHTNING BOLT!!!!!!!!!

the billionaires on the nfl should pay for their own stadiums, as should ALL teams. the public should not be supporting professional sports

If the taxpayers subsidized the billionaire Spanos family even one red cent it is a flaming ripoff! Spanos could build ten of these stadiums and get an amazing ROI! But why spend of nickel of your own dough when chump politicians will line up and spend the little peoples’ money. The entire meme that there is something wrong with the present facility is total BS. Double dare the misbegotten overmanaged loser Chargers to leave and if they do it’s ‘adios nalgonas!’
Tear down the stadium and make a much needed beautiful greenspace, with a recreated Digueno Indian village along the river, across from the Basilica….
