If a business or corporation cannot afford to pay decent wages to the people then that business should cut from the top, this includes the owners. That means take a cut in your own pay and distribute more among the workers. These owners save enough money cheating on their taxes and writing everything off they can but shouldn't be.

If the politicians think this is such a good idea why is it phased in? If they really want to help the people just raise it to $15 now. Oh, that will cause job losses and they do not want that.Businesses will adapt, they will raise prices then that $15/hr won’t buy much anymore.
