This legislation is bogus. It does nothing to correct the bigger wrong. No law enforcement should be able to seize assets and private property without due process.. this is in the constitution.

this sounds more like they will continue stealing from everyone, they just won’t hand any of the loot off to the feds. not much difference to those whose lives they destroy for nothing.

While the Legislature is ‘reforming’ the asset seizure scam, let’s also reform the ‘drug dog’ scam, where dogs are trained to ‘indicate’ the presence of drugs so the cops can ‘dot the i’s and cross the t’s’ on probable cause. “Redondo Beach police Lt. Diane Goldstein described how a food truck owner had $10,000 in cash seized by police on the grounds that a drug dog detected narcotics on the money.” All cash in america has traces of narcotics on it….

People complain that government can do anything right. But, the government sure knows how to steal. Just demonize the victims and take whatever you want from them.
