I have read all of comments and editorials which included police and judges accounts of corruption within our “Legal Systems”.

We know these unfortunate cases exist, but what about the groups of
Police, DA’s etc. who are legitimate contenders for truth and honesty? Are they to be ignored and grouped in with liars?

What about our “Robed” black gowned respected judiciary? Are they not certified liars as well. Maybe just the Conservative thinkers.

If we conclude that Police, DA’s, ETC . are clueless robots, why have any authority at all. Why have jails or laws if they are always ignored, because everyone lies about the accused, especially the minorities.

In conclusion, I guess nobody can be trusted by your measure of what the truth is because , the truth is how you want to see, not what it really means!

I am a veteran police officer and the judge is 100% right. I have seen arrest warrants and search warrants signed by judges that should have never been signed. I recently seen an arrest warrant authored by one officer and then signed and sworn by another officer. The kicker is both police officers had zero knowledge of the criminal case and the “facts” used to establish probable cause was all wrong. These police officers perjured themselves but did so under threat of insubordination by a militant commander. Why did they author, swear and sign an arrest warrant on a criminal case with ZERO knowledge because the case investigator was on vacation and could not be reached. The commander ordered an arrest of the alleged suspect. The alleged suspect was falsely arrested to make a point of the commander’s authority. The criminal case the suspect was arrested on was dismissed for lack evidence. There was NO evidence the suspect committed the crime but he spent time in jail.

Abusive DA’s of every political stripe have learned that the road to riches begins at the courthouse door. Career politicians as diverse as Dianne Fienstein and Chris Christie got their first whiff of real power in politically charged prosecutions (Christie being an especially outrageous example of abusive prosecutorial misconduct). If the public, egged on by a hysterical press, demands harsh sentencing and abusive prosecutions, so be it, but we could drain the swamp by imposing a moratorium on DA’s and AG’s running for office for say 5 years after leaving their prosecutorial jobs.

Excellent and disturbing article. You can thank our prison-industrial complex and burgeoning police state for the dreadful condition of Amerika’s injustice system.

Every major class of government employed professionals involved in this disgraceful system are immune from liability for misconduct. Judges, prosecutors and cops are all members of the same conniving team of duplicitous schemers. They do what ever it takes to protect one another while preying on the rest of us for power, profit and ego gratification.

A nation composed of informed and thoughtful citizens would express outrage and indignation at this disgusting tyranny. Instead we have sheeple, placidly grazing while their nation is turned into a gulag run by thugs, crooks and megalomaniacs.

Perhaps this is due to decades of affirmative action advancing people in the law who do not yet have fully developed morals? Not that lawyers had fully developed morals before 1964!
