any new laws must protect up through the appeal process also. Any and all funds seized go to a general fund or better to be used for welfare programs but NOT for ANY level of law enforcement

The one and ONLY reason is b/c the SCOTUS is a RUBBER STAMP for anything the Congress passes today, without regard to our constitutionally protected rights. These civil asset forfeiture laws should have died a fast and painful death the very second a case dealing with them hit the SCOTUS, instead Scalia and his Mini Me Thomas used legal mumbo jumbo pretext to RUBBER STAMP these scams...and there are hundreds, if not thousands, of examples of abusive scams with local muni's all across America. More proof we are a bana Re[pubic.
