The goal is not one or two new privately-funded stadiums in LA; the goal is three new taxpayer-funded stadiums in Oakland, San Diego and St Louis. At least two of those three will come to pass. Remember, the NFL's business model is built on taxpayer subsidies, and the pols in at San Diego and St Louis are moving heaven and earth to screw the taxpayers in those cities. Oakland may have to wait a bit more for their pile of taxpayer dough, but I don't think the league or the teams are going to completely upset a very successful business model.
