They have faithfully executed on a solid long-term strategy to diversify San Diego County’s water supply and the citizens of San Diego are the beneficiaries. I served for 18 months as a Mayor’s appointee on the Metropolitan Water District Blue Ribbon Committee designed to help them guide their future. One of the most difficult things we encountered was getting the kind of financial information we needed to make informed decisions. Designed to help them guide their future. Compared to them, the San Diego County Water Authority is phenomenal . For those whose first inclination is to criticize anything done by government, this agency is a standout of government excellence!
