It was a “not what you know, but who you know” situation–old as time. I don’t think he got off the hook. His sentence was not commuted–it was shortened–I can’t judge the reasoning because I don’t know all the facts.

Well, I suppose that was part of all the other “gropenating”. He ran for election and governed CA knowing the results of what he had done. That’s a nice Republican for you!

I am just trying to live right and survive. Desmond doesn’t have to do anything to fund my pension.

I consider a legislator that would speak in front of a pro-life group and tell that group that the CA drought is God’s rath over abortion is a right wing, extremist–far from being a garden-variety conservative.

GOP from CA. Hmm. Not many, and I mean a handful, that are actually worthy of being considered a conservative.
