					<description><![CDATA[Well, I&#039;ve read the story and the citations therein.  The argument that overall traffic-related deaths are up since the cellphone law was enacted does not prove that the law has not saved lives.

What the statistics show is that although overall traffic-related deaths are up, they are not attributed to cellphone use to the extent they were before.

The law can be said to have saved lives that would have been lost had it not been enacted. 

Liberty is not freedom from the consequences of the universal laws of Cause and Effect.

People who drive while voluntarily distracting themselves with other things are not just irresponsible, they are a threat to other people&#039;s lives and liberty.]]></description>
