Considering the effort to make the shell game for renewables look like its working, the state ended up with a broad exemption on ozone from the Feds since there are areas that regularly exceed the current ozone standard, let alone the newer more restrictive one. So they get lauded for efforts to reduce phoney pollution but can’t seem to get the real stuff under control.
