In reply to Ted. Mentor to the doomed..... Let the victim's families decide and participate in the death penalty! Firing squad, electrocution, lethal injection, or any other means. Maybe it will be the same curtsy they extended to the victims. That's what I call social justice!

Exactly! Law bears the same relation to Justice as Religion does to God. Which is: none whatsoever.
The State, both federal and state, is a hyperenthusiastic human killing machine. It can barely restrain itself, from FAT STUPID cops field executing citizens whenever they ‘feel threatened’ to H bombs and poison gas, to the grisly apparatus in the prisons that kills the putative killer and somehow brings ‘closure’, it just never ends. Strapping down a human being and killing them SHOULD be beneath the dignity of the state, but sadly it seems to be a statist’s wet dream. If you accept the death penalty for someone characterized as ‘scum’, who has most likely been screwed and set up by thoroughly CORRUPT police and prosecutors, then you accept it for yourself, you vengeful little groundlings…

California stopped executing Death Row inmates in 2006, when a federal judge determined “that flaws in lethal injections and staff training created an undue risk of a botched and agonizing execution,” the Chronicle recalled.
The DP is arbitrary and capricious. But even if it were not it will not work in CA.

This state is so dysfunctional it cannot function even at a minimal level, much less the level it will take to ensure innocent people are,not killed by the State.
