Don't forget the coal is now officially done, the salt water cooled plants no longer can access that resource and on top of that, no new reservoirs for hydro electric.

Listen if the state isn't going to make choices for its people, the people will suffer and that's how it should be.

No pain no gain right?

This is going to get interesting over the next 10 years as the environmentalists may have sufficient rope to hang themselves. They will have gotten rid of nuclear, there is little new hydro-electric and the EPA's clean power plan may make the Columbia River's power stay in the northwest. The biofuel plants that burned farm and orchard waste is being shut down due to loss of subsidy and the natural gas leak in the Porter Ranch area of LA county has even this fuel under attack. The state will rely on wind and solar. I guess we'll see if all those fears of the "duck curve" come to reality in the late afternoon on warm windless days. I think they already saw issues summer during a late July heat wave.
