There is simply NO serious problem here, unlike what the environmental wacko’s would have you believe. Methane is an insignificant “greenhouse” gas. The effect of water vapor almost completely swamping it. Any deleterious effects on nearby humans are most likely due to the added “odiferents” that cause a smell. The wackos are just completely obsessed with “fracking”, which in reality and according to the evidence, is very, very safe.
