The California state party and in particular the party chairman has no role. It is true that in some states the candidate has no such control, and so the possibility exists that a candidate will find that “his” delegates have been deliberately chosen so that those delegates are personally loyal to some other candidate or cause. California is not one of those states, and this accusation is absurd.
