As a half-Jewish person, I have nothing but contempt for vile NAZI scum — people such as the ones the press claims tried to hold a legal protest rally at the Sacramento State Capitol. I lost most of my mother’s family in the death camps during Germany’s extermination campaign.

That being said, several points need to be made concerning the rally and the unchecked widespread violence:

1. CBS News ran a ridiculously inflammatory headline below — calling the gathering a “NAZI mega-rally.” Really???? Is CBS News still pretending that it’s a news organization?
The “mega-rally” had about 30 participants. But because one of the thuggish counter-protesters called the meeting a “NAZI mega-rally,” CBS figured they could use that in their headline to hype the story — pulling up visions of the mass orchestrated Hitler rallies of the late 1930’s.

2. Apparently most or perhaps all of the white separatist protesters were NOT NAZI’s, or NAZI sympathizers. They were white SEPARATISTS — people who want to live with only whites, away from the other races. This is the same policy espoused by the Black Muslims, but you never hear THEM labeled as “NAZIs.” Arguably these Caucasians are big fans of “white pride.” Since when did pride in one’s race become the same as being a NAZI?
Yes, such separatist desires are repugnant policy to many of us, but the group apparently repudiates the violence and extermination policies of the REAL NAZI’s.

3. Even if they were bonafide NAZIs (and there likely were a couple of them present), such lowlifes DO have the right to hold their protests. They were issued a permit, and followed the rules, as far as I can tell. It appears that the counter-protesters came to the capitol looking to beat up people, and instigated most of the violence, attacking as soon as they spotted the presumed NAZI supporters.

4. But which side initiated the violence is secondary to the fact that apparently our Sacramento Keystone Cops did not make a SINGLE arrest. Not one! Where were the police? What exactly were the 100 cops there doing?

Did the cops think this was going to be a peaceful assembly? Could they not anticipate the widespread violence that resulted? Indeed, has the “Ferguson Effect” infected the boys and girls in blue in Sacramento?
The average cop in Sacramento receives total compensation (counting benefits) exceeding $150,000 a year, about 60% more than is paid to cops on average in the rest of the nation. To do what — stand around, hang back and spectate — while likely receiving overtime pay for their leisurely afternoon in the capitol park?
One thing’s for sure: Not a single cop, supervisor or the chief of police will receive the slightest adverse consequence for this pathetic performance of their duties. Apparently these “public servants” are just putting in their time until they get their opulent pensions.
Actually, they were likely putting in OVERtime, but perhaps I’m being a bit churlish.
