You nailed it Michael.
I’m a states rights guy and really not a fan of the Feds mucking around in a state program should the states wish to run a modest retirement fund providing they play by ERISA rules.
But in THIS state, there’s is no playing by the rules. It would become a giant slush fund for the likes of DeLeon, Lara and crew to play around in. It would be mainly used to backfill the pension fund of the corrupt and failing Calpers and their public union campaign contributors.
Any employee joining ‘Secure Choice’ will find out eventually they have made a very unsecure choice for their financial future.

2017 is going to be a bad year for California Democratic leadership. Sorry, no slush fund to offset your public pension fraud. Next up the end of funding of your not-so high speed rail.
