In reply to <a href="https://calwatchdog.com/2017/04/26/california-seeks-solutions-higher-energy-costs/#comment-135857">Ronald Stein</a>.

I was at a local solar manufacturer back in 2012. The engineer and I were talking and I said how impressed I was with this technology.

Well, the engineer says "we can build factories for 20 years, we can build solar plants for 20 more years and it will still only be 5% of what the world needs. We still need hydro-electric, we still need petroleum and coal and we still need nuclear."

Facts are such a wake up, aren't they?

Cheers Mr Stein.

Despite our isolation as an energy island with the Sierra Mountains on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other side, there are no pipelines “into” the state from the rest of the country, California’s energy island has grown to be the sixth largest economy in the world, and it’s driven by fossil fuels. Yet, our elected officials and appointed CARB folks are not aware that fossil fuels are the economic powerhouse of California. http://www.ocregister.com/2017/05/05/fossil-fuels-are-the-economic-powerhouse-of-california/

Even wasting one momment considering this crazy ass technology is too much! This behavior is so typical of how Democrat politicians, who never have business experience, always waste tax money when they gain a majority in any legislative arena. As a group, they are dumb as stumps. If these types of actions continue much longer it will surely warrant formal consideration of splitting California into at least one more state.

California's answer to high energy prices is to raise them ever higher.
The D-rat donors including the coastal elites, greenies, tech tycoons, and Hollywood trash can afford to pay whatever price the state tyrannical dictators want to charge.
The rest of you...the 'little people, middle class, working poor, etc you can leave if you don't like it. Most of you probably voted for Trump anyway.
As long as we have enough illegals, government cheese eaters, and tax grazers who will work for cash to clean our houses, mow our lawns and nanny our children we'll be OK.
High energy costs drive out manufacturing jobs and the riff-raff who work for them. Get out---now!

Well Idaho got swindled out of $6.4million to test a solar road that produced enough energy all day to power a microwave. I put this up there with perpetual motion and equipping cows with tubes into their stomachs and capturing methane in backpacks strapped onto them. Oh wait the latter was actually suggested at a CARB meeting. We're doomed
