They had a budget of about $500M. They overspent! Enrollment is down 33% while costs are up over 28% over a five year period. The current cost per student is about 20K. And they want more money because there is a financial crisis! Democrats running this mess and no end in site. California schools NEVER put students first. If they did, they would wipe the slate clean and start over with one primary mission… to teach students. Instead there are administrators, janitors, school police, maintenance, landscapers, cafeteria, and a whole host of workers that have NOTHING to do with teaching sucking down large salaries, lifetime pensions, and and unheard of union bureaucracy. Sad, but I’ve come to accept the way things are. As one person, I have zero influence over this disaster in waiting.
