Your sentiments are spot on, Dude, but you misread the article.

The theme of the article is that the GOP is neglecting to concentrate on the most popular issue in its platform — reduce taxes. The Dems have given the Republican Party a GREAT issue (the gas tax increase) — THAT’s what the party should pounce on — instead of seeking to transform into a weak version of the Democratic Party, as Ahrnold S. and Chad Mayes desire.

We Californians have been hit with tax after tax for the same “road improvements”. After the Demwits get them passed they use the money for whatever they want and then have the nerve to come back the following year and say they need money to fix the same damn things they’ve repeatedly taken money from us for.
