With ~45% of the state covered by private health care plans and a similar amount covered by Medicare and Medical, and the state’s medical reimbursement rates being one of the lowest in the nation, people with government insurance might find many more doctors and hospitals willing to accept them as patients and those on private plans might actually see a reduction in premiums, deductibles and co-pays because they would no longer be charged 70% more for health serviced provided than those on government plans.
