The simplest is to burn the waste plastic and use the heat to make electricity. I doubt the zero carbon emissions folks are going to let this happen. The other option would be to bury plastic waste and call it sequestered carbon and collect a fee for taking some of the refined oil and gas products out of the cycle for CO2 emissions. It’s a bit of a slight of hand but no less absurd than some of the other things being proposed for climate mitigation.
