By Katy Grimes

SACRAMENTO — A Sacramento couple recently had their baby ripped from their arms at their home by Sacramento Child Protective Services workers, with the help of local police, after telling a Sacramento hospital they wanted a second opinion on treatment for their baby.

According to the family, Anna Nikolayev tried to leave Sutter Memorial Hospital and take her baby Sammy, 5 months old, to another hospital for a second opinion, when she was threatened with a call to the CPS. Sammy was born with a serious heart condition. After a nurse at Sutter Memorial tried to give Sammy medicine that a doctor later explained should not have been administered, Anna became nervous about the quality of Sammy’s care. She expressed her desire to receive a second opinion from another doctor.

Anna Nikolayev said she didn’t like the care Sammy was receiving from Sutter, and felt the doctors and nurses were “pressing us to do surgery.” She was told by the hospital workers, “You are free to leave this hospital, but your baby is not.” The hospital refused to discharge Sammy. And they notified the CPS.

Anna put Sammy in his stroller, left Sutter Memorial and went directly to Kaiser Hospital. She met with a doctor there who said Sammy was free to go home, and didn’t need immediate surgery. The second doctor wrote that Sammy was cleared to go home with his parents. “I do not have concern for the safety of the child at home with his parents,” the Kaiser doctor wrote in the medical release from the hospital.

CPS shows up

The next day, CPS and the police showed up at the family’s home, claimed they had a warrant and the authority to take Sammy. Anna asked to see the warrant, but the authorities wouldn’t show it to her. What they had was a CPS order, generated in their offices, not a court order signed by a judge. Thanks to Anna’s quick thinking, there is a home video of this abusive government action, in which one police officer can be heard telling Anna, “I’m going to grab your baby and don’t resist and don’t fight me, okay?”

Second doctor’s note

The Nikolayevs showed police the note from the second doctor, but to no avail. Police forced Alex Nikolayev to the ground. “This is like living under communist regime,” Nikolayev told News 10 the next day, as shown in the above YouTube. He and Anna are immigrants from Russia, which for 74 years was run by a communist government.

CPS took the baby away, claiming “severe neglect.” Sutter Memorial released a media statement explaining the qualifications of the doctors and nurses, but said, “Our nurses and physicians are bound by law to call Child Protective Services if they believe a pediatric patient’s health is in danger.”

Lawmaker wants audit of CPS

Assemblyman Donnelly is now demanding an audit of Child Protective Services.

Donnelly first contacted a Deputy Director at CPS. “The first question I asked them is, ‘Are these parents abusive? Do you suspect that they are guilty of neglect or something along those lines.’ And they said, ‘Absolutely not; 99.9 percent these are just normal parents.’ And I said then, ‘What the Hell are you doing?'”

Donnelly said CPS told him, “We don’t answer to Assemblymen.”

Donnelly wrote a letter to Sherri Heller, CPS Director, demanding to know under what authority was CPS acting by removing Sammy from the Nikolayev home for seeking a second medical opinion.

Heller responded to Donnelly in a two-page letter filled with legal codes justifying the CPS decision to take the Nikolayev baby:

“The law is clear: if there is imminent risk of serious harm to the child and there is insufficient time to obtain a court order to remove the child from the care of the parents, the social worker or law enforcement officer can remove the child. The legal term is ‘exigent circumstances.’…

“The laws and policies that guide agency practice are designed to ensure that there are adequate protections for the rights of everyone involved, while placing priority on children’s health, safety, and well-being.”

“I am shocked and appalled an agency of Sacramento County would go so far to remove a child from the care of his able and loving parents,” Donnelly said.

On June 5 at 9 a.m. there will be a rally for the baby on the South steps of the State Capitol led by Donnelly. After that, he will lead a 10 a.m. hearing to audit the policies and procedures of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services regarding child seizures.

By John Seiler

With inflation gearing up again, there’s one safe way to protect your money that’s existed for millennia: hold it in gold. A new bank lets you do so:

“You can open accounts in dollars or gold bullion at the new Euro Pacific Bank Ltd, launched by Peter Schiff. this is an awesome idea

“You can even get a ‘gold debit card’ that you can use anywhere in the world. It’s backed by actual gold, which converts to whatever currency you’re needing at the time you visit an ATM.”

What a great idea! Real money, not the inflating paper issued by the U.S. government.

But there’s a catch. For Americans nowadays, anything good involves a catch.

“There’s one catch if you are an American: you can’t open an account at this bank if you’re a U.S. citizen.

“U.S. security laws have become so intrusive, burdensome, and expensive to comply with, that it made it difficult for Schiff to offer the services in the U.S. So, Schiff opened his bank offshore, in St. Vincents and the Grenadines. It operates outside the jurisdiction of U.S. security regulations, and does not accept accounts from American citizens or residents.”

This is another indication how our government hates us and treats us like slaves. You’re not free. When you can get a gold credit card — one using real gold, not just a piece of plastic painted to look gold — then you’ll be free.

John Seiler:

Recall, anyone? Not of Gov. Jerry Brown — yet.

But of the five California Supreme Court “justices” who voted to revoke your Fourth Amendment right “against unreasonable searches and seizures.”

Absurdly, the court ruled that, if cops arrest you, they can search not only your person, but everything on your cell phone. The Chronicle reports:

The majority, led by Justice Ming Chin, relied on decisions in the 1970s by the nation’s high court upholding searches of cigarette packages and clothing that officers seized during an arrest and examined later without seeking a warrant from a judge.

These “justices” live in California, the world’s high-tech capital, and they don’t know the difference between a pack of cigarettes and a cell phone with more computer power (literally) than was on board the Apollo 11 space capsule that landed men on the moon in 1969.

The dissent:

Monday’s decision allows police “to rummage at leisure through the wealth of personal and business information that can be carried on a mobile phone or handheld computer merely because the device was taken from an arrestee’s person,” said Justice Kathryn Mickle Werdegar, joined in dissent by Justice Carlos Moreno.

So, you’re pulled over for a DUI and taken to the cop shop. A blood test shows you were below the blood-alcohol limit. So they let you go.

But in the meantime, they downloaded info from your cell phone, including sensitive business information. As Wikileaks has shown, it’s difficult to protect information nowadays. And cop property rooms commonly lose confiscated drugs. It’s a lot easier to steal info by loading it onto a thumb drive. So your sensitive info ends up sold on the black market to a business competitor.

Your competitor uses your info to drive you from business. Your company goes broke, unemploying your 1,000 employees. You’re personally bankrupt and go on welfare.

Welcome to the California Supreme Court’s Tyranny 2011.

Jan. 4, 2011

John Seiler:

The TSA Gestapo must have it in for Californians. I blogged earlier on how it assaulted and arrested a California woman who was a rape victim.

Now, TSA goons have assaulted a California pilot for taking pictures showing what a joke security is at Sacramento airport:

The 50-year-old pilot, who lives outside Sacramento, asked that neither he nor his airline be identified. He has worked for the airline for more than a decade and was deputized by the TSA to carry a gun in the cockpit.

He is also a helicopter test pilot in the Army Reserve and flew missions for the United Nations in Macedonia.

Three days after he posted a series of six video clips recorded with a cell phone camera at San Francisco International Airport, four federal air marshals and two sheriff’s deputies arrived at his house to confiscate his federally-issued firearm. The pilot recorded that event as well and provided all the video to News10.

At the same time as the federal marshals took the pilot’s gun, a deputy sheriff asked him to surrender his state-issued permit to carry a concealed weapon.

So the local sheriffs, to their shame, are working with the TSA thugs to suppress the truth. Aren’t local sheriffs supposed to protect us against such assaults?

Here’s what the videos show:

The YouTube videos, posted Nov. 28, show what the pilot calls the irony of flight crews being forced to go through TSA screening while ground crew who service the aircraft are able to access secure areas simply by swiping a card.

“As you can see, airport security is kind of a farce. It’s only smoke and mirrors so you people believe there is actually something going on here,” the pilot narrates.

Video shot in the cockpit shows a medieval-looking rescue ax available on the flight deck after the pilots have gone through the metal detectors. “I would say a two-foot crash ax looks a lot more formidable than a box cutter,” the pilot remarked.

And that’s what the TSA bullies really hate: Being shown that they’re incompetents at protecting us, but good only at harassing decent, honest, law-abiding citizens.

California airports should expel the TSA and hire private guards. And the California Legislature should pass a law banning the TSA from the state.

The TSA gangsters clearly are targeting Californians. It’s time to reclaim our liberties.

Here’s the a TV news report that includes some of the pilot’s footage:

San Diego is the most pleasant large city in the world. I relax every time I go there. Nice folks, great atmosphere and of course incomparable weather.

That’s all ruined now with the TSA molester goons descending on the city as they have everywhere across America:

When a San Diego man opted out of security screening using the Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) at Lindbergh Field Friday, he stripped down to his underwear in an attempt to avoid the pat-down procedures.

While Tyner videotaped his refusal to be patted down, telling the agent “If you touch my junk, I’ll have you arrested,” Wolanyk decided to give TSA a look at his body down to his Calvin Klein’s.

Through a statement released by his attorney Sunday night, Wolanyk said “TSA needs to see that I’m not carrying any weapons, explosives, or other prohibited substances, I refuse to have images of my naked body viewed by perfect strangers, and having been felt up for the first time by TSA the week prior (I travel frequently) I was not willing to be molested again.”

Wolanyk’s attorney said that TSA requested his client put his clothes on so he could be patted down properly but his client refused to put his clothes back on. He never refused a pat down, according to his attorney.

Wolanyk was arrested for refusing to complete the security process. A woman, identified by Harbor police as Danielle Kelli Hayman,39, of San Diego was detained for recording the incident on a phone.

I’m a veteran. I joined the U.S. Army 33 years ago this month to prevent the Soviets from taking over America. But now here in America we have innocent, law-abiding citizens being treated like inmates in a Soviet gulag.

This has to stop. Abolish the TSA. Restore freedom to America!
