‘Moving’ is not a solution to the crime problem. Crime will simply move with you unless the criminals fear you. When I caught a burgler in my house I slammed him to the ground, wrenched his arm behind his back till he screamed, and held him down till the police arrived. He ain’t come back. But I gotta my 1st gun anyways.

But the public unions would rather the kids die than support unpaid, nonunion security in our schools. In Kalifornia, the public unions of the teachers, police and firefighter were against laws making it easier to get pedophile teachers out of the classrooms. We have to destroy the public unions to keep our kids safe.
Or we could home school.

We could probably triple the effective number of law enforcement personal on our streets within a couple of years if we embrace trained, volunteer ‘militias’ who work with and along side our police and sheriffs. Most could come from retired police, or people who honorable served in the military. They would be gay, female, black, hispanic, asain, american indian, democrats, and yes, white too. Just like any police dept.
I’m sure there are hundreds of thousands of former female members of the military who would volunteer to be armed guards at each school in america.
The ability to solve the problem of school shootings is already there IN THE CONSTITUTION!!!!!!

I agree that 90 round drums have to go. And maybe 30 round mags too. 50 cal. weapons may go too tho they have yet to cause a crime or death. But there is no place for them in either hunting or self defense. I shot a AK47 this last summer and they truly are a weapon of war. But it is simply a deer rifle with a high capacity mag. They are a profoundly accurate and effective weapon inside 50 yards, even with a 10 round mag. Pistols are profoundly in-accurate weapons. Police, which are professional gunman only hit what they aim at 20% of the time. Criminals less than 5%. A sawed off shot gun would problably be the best home defense gun. A missed shotgun shot is of far less danger to innocent bystanders than a missed 38. They won’t fly for a mile or through a wall and kill.
On the other hand, we can’t disarm ourselves in the midst of so much crime. There have been 5 armed robberies within a block of my house in the last year. 15 within 5 blocks in the last 15 months. The democrats in San berdoo are saying lock yours doors and get your guns.
The answer is ????? You won’t like the answer.
Trained, armed, volunteer Militias assisting the police in crime fighting. That is what the constitution says. There were no ‘police’ in America in 1776. Sheriff’s simply rounded up ‘posses’ and tracked down the bad guy. But the police unions will be against it. Fewer union jobs.

We need to bring this discussion back to the individual rights gauranteed to every American by the Constitution, and contained in the Bill of Rights!The actual intent of the Second Amendment — that it protect a right of people to maintain the means of violently checking the power of government — has been all but lost in modern American society. The LE RAGWUS increasing monopoly on firepower tends to undermine the Framers’ intent that the whole people be armed, equipped, and empowered to resist the state. Many police organizations lobby incessantly for gun control, even though the criminological literature yields scant empirical support for general gun control as a crime-prevention measure. Katy added some great information in her article on gun control!! 🙂
