In reply to Bill Gore. Yes, the government worker unions run the state. If a traditionally "progressive" state like Wisconsin can get a leash on these parasites what's wrong with Crazyfornia? Well, not to put too fine a point on it, but our voters are even more complacent, ignorant and distracted by Americas brain dead pop culture. Who needs to vote when you can obsess over Miley Cyrus latest antics or regale your friends and followers on Facebook/Twitter/Myspace with what you had for breakfast?

The rule is: whichever candidate can kowtow most deeply to the public employee unions gets to have a lucrative political career. Period. The inmates have a permanent voter supermajority in asylum management because they, through huge self-interest, are the ones who actually show up and vote. The average, non-public employee voter is sunk in apathy, distracted, whatever. They can effortlessly memorize arcane football statistics but have no interest whatsoever in local government. In a non-presidential election year, with a trace of rain in the forecast, and a pileup on the 15, voter turnout could easily be less than 30%, and most of those voting are voting for their own paycheck and benefits.
