I know the political process is jaded, filled with union hacks, sociopaths, and narcissists. Rand may not be perfect, but I believe He’s better than what we have now, but then who really knows the mind of an individual! 🙂

I envy you, Donkey. For me shaking hands with Ross Perot would’ve been the equivalent of shaking hands with one of the Beatles. I really think Ross would have turned this country around. I think he was America’s last great hope. He was independent of the club that caters to the typical bought and sold politicians (of both major parties). Tonight I watched a couple of his old TV videos when he gave America economic lessons. His platform was awesome. He really wanted to extract the corrupted rot out of our system. And that’s why they forced him out. He wasn’t a club member. Oh, I loved that little ‘twang’ in his voice too. It just added more character to his personality.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just don’t think that Ron or Rand Paul could hold a candle next to Ross Perot. I think both Paul’s are establishment politicians playing assigned roles. I watched a video tonight of Rand Paul say that he thinks Ed Snowden should be tried for crimes against our nation and sent to prison if found guilty. Heck, I think they should throw a parade for Ed Snowden. He tried to work within the system to change it and the system totally ignored him. So he felt he needed to defend his oath to 300M+ Americans and defend the letter of the law as spelled out in our US Constitution. My God, think of the courage it took for him to honor his sworn oath and inform the nation that our civil rights were under attack! He’s a smart man. He knew he was sacrificing his very comfortable life. If Rand Paul were a true freedom fighter I think he would publicly support clemency for Ed Snowden. I think he’s another phony. My opinion.

I worked on Perot’s run for POTUS and met him in Long Beach when he showed up for a speech, I was really hoping he could do it!!

I am not going to belittle the Paul’s, both have taken stands that I agree with when others from both parties ran the other way.

The liberals have a moron the goes by the name of Pelosi that claims for every dollar spent on unemployment and welfare (which includes all public workers) the country gets $1.50 in return. So this brilliant economist Pelosi has created in her mind a perpetual motion economy power by unemployment payments. Why is it we don’t just give every citizen a million bucks, then we could all give $5000,000 back to pay off the deficit. Liberals are absolutely brain dead, remember “we have to pass it so we can see what’s in it.” 🙂

Go watch the 60 Minutes segment on the Leadership PAC Funds in Congress. Sugar daddy special interests dump payoffs into these accounts that can be used for personal enjoyment! lol. 60 Minutes revealed that Ron Paul used these funds to pay his own family members big salaries as aides and consultants. lol. Does that sound like a man of high ethical standards to you?

As a sub-committee chairman for monetary policy Ron Paul still had a voice. Show me ONCE where Ron Paul demanded justice for all the Wall Street goons who brought down the world economy! Show me ONCE where Ron Paul demanded justice for Corzine! Show me ONCE where Ron Paul demanded that the Too Big To Fail (Jail) bankers who collectively laundered over a trillion dollars of illicit narcotic proceeds get criminally prosecuted?

Ron Paul was a perfect bit actor for civil liberties and limited government. I remember when he ran for POTUS McStain and Romney made a clown out of him on stage. His mannerisms simply didn’t command respect. So he was the perfect voice for the people.

Rand Paul is riding the coattails of dad – just like GW Bush rode the coattails of HW – just like Hillary rode the coattails of Bill.

If Hillary (What difference at this point does it make?) Clinton is elected in 2016 that will be our final nail.

But if the media wants her in office – it shall come to pass. Today the media chooses the POTUS. The voters just follow the will of the media. Like good little sheep.

Collapse, you are even more dyspeptic than I am. Your criticism of the Libertarian Party is spot on, but that is a whole different animal than the philosophy of Libertarianism or Ron Paul. The party is hopelessly ineffectual and irrelevant and has been so since it’s inception. If you want a retired whorehouse madam as your governor the Libertarian party is your ticket. Come to think of it how could that be any worse than what we already have?

You can’t honestly blame Ron Paul for crooks like Jon Corzine getting off the hook. Yes he was a sub-committee chairman but he was as low on the GOP totem pole as you can get. The GOP establishment hates his guts with a purple passion. If you doubt that just listen to the nattering neocon nabobs on the radio or Fox News. Is there another Republican who voted against every Bush war/invasion? Is there another Congress critter who would dare try to audit the almighty FED or cut back on military spending? Name another Congressman who voted against every single one of his party’s deficit spending budgets and all the mindless wars against drugs, terrorism, poverty, obesity, privacy, etc.

Ron Paul is a freaking saint compared to the rest of that pack of wolves and weasels in Congress. He is as good as it gets if you believe in individual liberty and limited government and I would take him any day over any other politician in office at any level of government. Rand I’m not so sure about though.

Even for you this is a very foolish comment Theodore. In case you hadn’t noticed Ron Paul got elected to Congress over a dozen times and Rand is currently a Senator who got that job by opposing the RINO hacks in his own party. That would seem to be irrefutable evidence of electability that even you could understand. And do work on the spelling, which is a bit embarrassing. The word is spelled “unelectable”.
