I don't see anything wrong with the beating of an unruly, homeless, schizophrenic person. What was that person doing for society? Let police do their job and thank them for protecting you, your family and property.

Gun violence has decreased dramatically. Most likely because the average law abiding citizen is allowed to arm themselves for protection and criminals are afraid of that fact.

Donkey is nearly right when he says that the govt considers every citizen a criminal who just haven't been charged yet. With the hundreds of thousands of laws and regulations on the state, local and in the IRS code, it is impossible for even the most law abiding citizen to not break a law sometime.
Editors: Once again, Ulysses says nothing to the subject at hand. He just calls people names. When was the last time he posted anything but a 'hate' comment, attacking intelligence of other commentators.

And there's a reason for it, Donkey. They want to condition you, the average citizen, to believe that 6 big cops can hold down and brutally bust up the facial bones of an unarmed, frail, vulnerable, homeless schizophrenic, murder him, get away with it and there's nothing you can do about it. You have to helplessly stand on the sidelines and just accept it. This is precisely the way the Nazi's conditioned the german people. Stand by and watch. But don't you dare intervene. We are the authorities. We know best. We're here to make you safer.

What they're doing is conditioning the population with a well-known law of psychology described as "learned helplessness".

Basically, 'learned helplessness' is a behaviorial phenonomenon whereby
the victim (animals or humans) are are repeatedly subjected to unwanted aversive stimuli from which it can't escape. Eventually the victim stops trying to avoid the stimuli and utterly surrenders and act 'helpless' to change the situtation. Depression normally sets in. This is the uncanny part: EVEN WHEN PRESENTED WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO ESCAPE THE VICTIM REMAINS IMMOBILE AND TOLERATES THE PAIN.

This is what I believe the American psyche is undergoing. This is why I feel there is so much complicity and tolerance: Learned Helplessness.

Sorry LIC, but the war on the American citizen by government has been going on for the last thirty years. According to the LE RAGWUS, IRS, NSA, and all the politicians every citizen not connected to a government bureaucracy is a criminal that just hasn't been charged yet. :)
