Exactly. I’m for very small government, elimination of entitlements, and most definitely elimination of the cradle to grave Nanny State.

However, I’m also do not want Bible Thumper “conservatives” regulating my life either.

This is called Libertarianism – hated equally by both the left AND the right as it opposes BOTH their versions of slavery.

Make no mistake, both the GOP and the Democrats are parties of slavery – they just differ in the form.

But I’m no millennial…

The labels, “fiscal conservative” and “social liberal” are broad brush, but not necessarily inconsistent. One can be against the “war on drugs”, be for gay marriage, and be for legal abortion (“social liberal” positions), and also be against runaway public employee pensions, for lower taxes, and for getting rid of at least half of the government agencies/bureaucracies (“fiscal conservative” positions). These seem consistent to me.

But, if social liberal means for universal cradle to grave government care and support, then yes fiscal conservative is impossible.

Millenials are still too young to understand how life works. They think their generation is something special and that they have come up with some new winning formula! Namely ‘fiscally conservative’ and ‘socially liberal’ LOL! It’s obvious to me that the Millenials are just as stupid as we were at their age. LOL! You can’t be a “fiscal conservative” and a “social liberal” simultaneously. Those are mutually exclusive terms! Look, you can’t promote a welfare state to save the indigent population while from the other side of your mouth demands small government! Nor can you promote open borders allowing a flood of illegal foreign indigents to infiltrate your neighborhoods – getting free education, free medical care, free food, all paid for by the taxpayers – while claiming to be a “fiscal conservative”. So please, stop the nonsense. Just pick a damn side and stick with it. You Millenials aren’t reinventing the wheel. We’ve all been there and done that. Trust me – as you get older and wiser you will understand that the only winning combination is “fiscal conservative” + “social conservative”. Otherwise you are making the same mistake that the rest of us made and you are part of the problem. For God sakes – is there one upcoming generation who can learn from OUR mistakes??? Grow up!
