It is an anti science, anti natural cycle experiment gone horribly wrong.

Trying to restart rivers and save fish populations being prodominantly affected by decades long natural cycles is simply reckless use of a scarce resource.

Mother Nature is killing the smelt, not man.

ECO-Diversions using 1.4 trillion gallons per year is the equivalent of roughly 100 gallons used per day, every day, for every man, woman, and child in California, all~38M of us.

Nice of the environmentalists to send all that water out into the Pacific Ocean for us to ‘save the environment’

The Delta can work scientifically fine either flushing water to the ocean or sending water through the Delta to farms and cities. So it is not “anti-acience” policies that are the problem but political and cultural values. California values flushing water to the ocean over sending it southward. The problem is inflexibility. Flushing water to the ocean works in wet years and when there is a surplus of water to do so. But it is ruinous to flush water to the ocean in a drought. What is needed is more flexibility.
