The holiday talk, from Barackobama.com

This holiday season, nothing says Happy Holidays like health insurance. And nothing says health insurance like government health care, according to the Obama administration.1384791606_stretch

“This holiday season, millions of Americans have a chance to get quality, affordable health insurance—many for the first time,” barackobama.com says.

“If you have family members who are uninsured, you can play a big part in helping them find coverage that works for them. It might not always seem like it, but your family listens to you. So have the talk.”

To help you “have the talk,” Barackobama.com has put out a new video called, “Get ready to have the talk.

The video is pathetic. It’s not funny. And it’s not cute.

If my family is going to talk about anything at the holiday dinner table, it’s not going to be to encourage our young folks to sign up for government health care. In my house, it is still considered shameful to be supported by the government.

Besides, at my family holiday dinner table, we talk about giving thanks, and the joys of Christmas.

We won’t let the secularist socialists in the federal government ruin our holidays. Instead, we will grasp hands, bow our heads and pray that Obamacare continues to implode.

Obamacare gift giving

Barackobama.com even offers instructions on how to cover the topic with your wayward family members:

“Are your family members traveling home for the holidays? There are a few things they’ll need to sign up for health coverage. Make sure they bring the following items with them before they head home.”

Here’s more from barackobama.com — and don’t forget to tell Aunt Josie to bring her marshmallow sweet potatoes, and her W-2 and Social Security card:

PACKING LIST

In order to shop on the new health insurance marketplace, you’ll need to have a few basic pieces of information with you:

  1. Your Social Security Number
  2. Information about your employer and income — either a pay stub or a copy of your most recent W-2 tax form
  3. If you currently have health insurance, you’ll need your health insurance card or paperwork that includes a health policy number

Make a pledge to have a conversation with your family about health insurance this holiday season.

And no, this video is not a Saturday Night Live skit.

Will you have “the talk” with your family?

Did you happen to read the story about poor Jessica Sanford from Washington State and her experience with ObamaCare?

Jessica is reported to be a self-employed court reporter. After learning that she would get full medical coverage under ACA for $169/mo she was so elated that she wrote the President to thank him. The letter said it really helped lower her stress levels since her son has ADHD and that she was struggling with his medical problems. Obama read Jessica’s letter during a Rose Garden press conference and paraded Jessica as one of ObamaCare’s success stories to toot his own horn.

Later, Jessica was contacted by the exchange and was told that due to a tax credit eligibility miscalculation that her premium would rise substantially under ObamaCare to $280/mo. Then she was notified again that due to a ‘system error’ that her premium would go even higher. Then another letter notified her that Jessica would receive no federal tax credit to cover the cost – which apparently caused her a ‘good cry’. These ‘miscalculations’ apparently made healthcare insurance under ObamaCare unaffordable for Jessica and she has elected to pay the penalty for not having insurance.

Then Jessica was reported to write on FB:

“Wow. You guys really screwed me over. Now I have been priced out and will not be able to afford the plans you offer. But, I get to pay $95 and up for not having health insurance. I am so incredibly disappointed and saddened. You majorly screwed up.”

So sad. Another ObamaCare failure story.

I wonder if Obama will read Jessica’s follow-up letter at his next Rose Garden pressy? lol.

Granted, there may be a few bleepers throughout the reading but it’s only fair to keep the nation updated on Jessica’s situation. After all, he’s the one opened up the can of worms.

The 47% are happy. No ACA. No copays. No deductibles. No premiums. Plenty of EBT to go around. Free phone. What else….forgot a few goodies!

Young citizens who feel disenfranchised and alienated and abused by the system may consider a day trip to TJ, sneak across the border at night, and declare undocumented status – thereby being exempted from the ObamaCare mandates and free to use the ER for your soup to nuts healthcare. As a bonus you get free education, to include “Dream Act” benefits. And they can’t deport you unless you commit a violent felony. Oh, you get a Ca DL too, compliments of Jerry and friends. Not a bad way to get a start.
