Stop Maldo!

John Seiler:

Let the cry go up across the land: Stop Maldonado!

Taxpayer traitor Abel Maldonado now is running for U.S. Congress. It was just two years ago that, as a state senator, he sold taxpayers down the river by proving the key Republican vote for the record $13 billion tax increase of then-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger-Shriver-Kennedy. Maldo even had given his solemn word that he never would increase taxes.

As a reward, Arnold appointed Maldo to the vacant seat of lieutenant governor, a job that shouldn’t even exist.

Maldo — the California Benedict Arnold — even has the chutzpah to say: “Washington needs people who are independent and bipartisan and who are fiscally responsible, and I think I’ve demonstrated that.”

In fact: Washington already has too many tax-increase traitors like him. He’s not “independent,” but sold out to become Arnold’s chauffeur. He’s fiscally irresponsible. Which he amply has demonstrated.

Republicans need to make sure they put up someone someone decent — a real fiscal conservative and anti-tax activist — to defeat Maldo in the primary. If Maldo ends up on the November 2012 ballot, then all efforts should be made to re-elect the Democratic incumbent, Lois Capps.

Treason should have a price.

This guy couldnt even beat the Adulterous Used Car Salesman from SF for the easiest job in the state. Hell, newsome even said he didnt want the position only a few months before the election, yet he still beat able. I dont think his chances are too good against someone who actually wants the job.

I recall hearing one of my favorite radio political pundits encourage votes for Maldonado in spite of his betrayal of taxpayers. His point was that Newsome is so bad, Maldonado represented the best of two bad choices.

The last time I voted for the lessor of two evils was George Bush running against Dukakis. After suffering Bush I decided to never again vote for the lessor of two evils. I had no idea that would mean I could not vote again in a presidential election until Ron Paul ran in the last primary.

Conservatives who foolishly vote for the likes of Maldonado get what they deserve and prove the point why I left the Republican party in 1990. Having an R behind someones name should not be sufficient cause to earn your vote.

What is even worse than your vote is the defense of the records of disaster so many Republican’s cause. A Republican puts us in two unnecessary wars, vastly expands government, sanctions torture, signs the Patriot Act, disregards the constitution on a regular basis and he is defended because of the R behind his name?

Maldonado does not represent constituents, he represents himself and he will do whatever he believes is required to advance his political career.
