UC prof charged with assaulting student

What’s going on in California’s public universities? Fox News reported:

“A feminist studies professor at a California state university is facing criminal charges after a videotaped run-in with a teenage pro-life demonstrator in which she snatched an anti-abortion sign and appeared to get physical with the girl.

“University of California at Santa Barbara Associate Professor Mireille Miller-Young was charged with one misdemeanor count each of theft, battery and vandalism in the March 4 incident, Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce Dudley announced Friday. The charges came days after 16-year-old Thrin Short and her parents met with prosecutors.”

We’ve come a long way from the Free Speech Movement that started at another UC campus, in Berkeley, 50 years ago. Back then it was leftists insisting on free speech. Now it’s leftists shutting down free speech.

Here’s a video of the recent altercation:

Unfortunately, John and his ‘Dog buddies never bother to check the barrel on the Right.

Sadly, we’ve come a long way from the time when Republicans used to support things like civil rights. And I’d suggest that trying to limit people’s opportunity to vote and to make their own health care choices is more outrageous than a misguided university professor losing her cool.

Get off the crack pipe Mehlman. You lefties are enslaving the unconnected young people of this nation and you whine about health care choices.

As long as the crime is done by a state RAGWUS feeder then there was no crime at all, right!! 🙂

The definition of strong arm robbery, a felony, is the taking of someone else’s property my force or threat of force. It’s all on video. In many states the value of what was taken does not matter. I’m not sure what Kali law says. In many states it is legal to use lethal force when faced with a robbery. Like the Jack Benny skit where the robber says to Jack ” your money or your life”. Jack Benny responds “I’m thinking, I’m thinking”.
That’s the prospect when any non socialist faces when exercising their free speech. Your free speech or your life.
I only wished that she devil would have tried that on me. She’d be spitting teeth with no recourse.

Typo: I meant ‘by force or threat of force’. Not ‘my force or threat of force’.
