Record global cooling freezes Lake Superior

Those who still believe the “global warming” myth should become “Yoopers.” That’s Michiganese for “U.P.-ers,” those who live in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Because you sure won’t suffer any meltdown there. According to Michigan Live:

“Lake Superior is almost frozen over as of yesterday February 5, 2014. Lake Superior is 92 percent covered with ice now. The ice has increased rapidly in the past week, from 76 percent ice cover on January 30, 2014. The high resolution satellite picture from February 3, 2014 shows all of the ice cover on Lake Superior. The current ice cover on Lake Superior is the highest amount ever for February 5. In 1994, Lake Superior was reportedly 91 percent covered in ice.”

I grew up in Michigan near Detroit and remember the frigid winters of the mid-1970s, where the temperatures dropped to -30 degrees Fahrenheit — before windchill. You just shuffled between your home, your car and your job or the store, trying to avoid frostbite. Now it’s even worse.

Meanwhile, back in California, AB 32, the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, remains in effect, the state’s effort to make Lake Superior and the rest of the world even cooler. It’s forcing California industries to cut greenhouse gases by 25 percent by 2020.

According to the bill’s text, which was signed into law by then-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who must have thought it strange that winters were so much warmer in California than in the Austria he grew up in:

“National and international actions are necessary to fully address the issue of global warming. However, action taken by California to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases will have far-reaching effects by encouraging other states, the federal government, and other countries to act.”

Schwarzenegger, bill author Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, and the other legislators who voted for AB 32, along with big AB 32 supporter Gov. Jerry Brown, should move to the shore of Lake Superior and tell that passage to the Yoopers.

The whole global warming scam is right out of a 1950’s sci/fi film. We have some scientists making clams that if we don’t do something now the planet will become like Venus, but the scientists never mention that Venus turns on its axis so slow it doesn’t have time to spread the Suns heat over its entire surface. Then we have the politicians calling out the regulatory bureaucracies to enforce the atmosphere changing rules at the expense of taxpayers, but no one has told Mother Earth to tone down her volcanoes which put out far more of the so called “greenhouse” material than anything else on Earth.

The screech coming from the warmers has to do with control of the freedom of the little folk, control of the labor, control of their time, control of their minds, and control of their tax dollars. This planet will heat or cool as it always has, humans will have no effect on the weather produced on our planet, but they will have an effect on your freedom as an individual. 🙂

Climate doomers are of the worst sort. Running in circles like the fringes of the 1950’s warning that the ‘end is near’. lol. They remind me of that fanatical group of zealots who used to claim that seismic activity would result in part of California falling into the Pacific Ocean. lol. Or the Mayan Calendar loonies of 2012. lol. A ship full of Russian greenies studying the effects of global warming was stuck in the ice in Anartica in the middle of their summer while the Chinese icebreaker dispatched to save them got stuck too! lol. The climate doomers claim that carbon dioxide contributes to the greenhouse effect and is killing the planet. Yet they continue to exhale! lol. Doom…doom….doom.

It’s called climate change, John. You have record cold in some places and record heat in others. The polar ice cap is melting at a record rate. California has an unprecedented drought. Severe hurricanes and typhoons are becoming more and more commonplace. And the list goes on.

But of course this is all just a big old coincidence. LOL. Even if you want to deny that at least some climate change is being caused by us, please don’t insult our intelligence by claiming it isn’t happening.

The Climate Doomers always revert to damage control when proven wrong. How many times did they tell us that hurricane season would become progressively worse with more hurricanes and higher hurricane categories as a result of global warming. lol. It became their mantra of sorts. And then last hurricane season was mild by any comparison by historical data. lol.

Oh, even prominent Climate Doomers conceded in their peer reviewed journals that there has been NO surface global warming in over a decade! lol. If man was responsible for the warming effects, and since pollution emissions have INCREASED in the last decade due to economic development and lack of pollution controls in the developing nations, then it would stand to reason that surface global warming would have to PROGRESSIVELY increase. The the FACT is, it hasn’t – which blows that theory out of the ball park completely! lol.

The Climate Doomers want to place these added fees, taxes and penalties on the USA while the largest pollution growth comes from China, India and the other developing nations who IGNORE pollution controls and who we are competing with in the global economy. They are destroying us just like the pro-amnesty crowd is destroying us by saturating the nation with unskilled indigents who are a REVENUE SINK HOLE as opposed to revenue generators. This is about making America LESS COMPETITIVE on a global front and weaking our international influence and, thus, our individual standard of living.

Climate Doomers are the bane of our national interests.

Comments on the news is fair game. But personal attacks, ridicule and degrading comments should be off limits. Both of us are free to respond to each other’s comments on the news. If I don’t agree with your opinion that’s fair game. And vice-versa. That’s what discussion boards are all about. If the ‘working folks’ that you refer to are the ones with their hands in the public treasure, well, that’s our money they’re grabbing. If I think they’re taking an excessive amount for the service provided I will certainly say it. If you happen to fall into that group that’s beyond my control. However, I commit that I will not ridicule, insult or demean you personally, for as long as our agreement remains mutual. What happens between you and others is not my business. I’ll be happy to let you tap out little buddy– as I said– fair enuf.

But—When you make generalizations like—“well, that’s our money they’re grabbing”, you make nonsense. In that group you are including persons who do lawful jobs and get lawful compensation. In fact, that’s just about ALL of them! To treat them as you often do as second class just makes you extreme. Over time, we have seen just how extreme from all of your well documented and archived statements.

One may rightly ask, what other lawful things you find unjust and in pretty quick order you reveal yourself as a very opinionated, exclusive and judgmental person who executes judgments towards citizens who are merely comporting themselves WELL within the boundaries of the law and the Constitution.

This type of conduct/judgment and commentary fit in very well in Germany in about 1939 or so. One wonders and waits for your next pronouncement. Who will El Collapso hate next? Will it be a hatred of his perception that one has stolen? Or committed some perceived “sin”, or is a member of a Constitutionally protected insular minority?

One never knows with your ilk.

Steele, if you think that a job that only requires a high school diploma as an entry standard should get compensated commensurate to that of a medical doctor we are just going to have to disagree. I think the large majority of the American people would agree with me and disagree with you. IMO it is a form of legal theft. The unions and the politicians are first to blame since they’re the scoundrels who devised such a lopsided and inequitable system made possible through their legal thievery. But the public workers support the former, both financially and morally, and take delivery of the bounty attained through unscrupulous means and, therefore, cannot be held blameless for their participation in the legal heist of our taxdollars. It takes a village afterall.

It doesn’t even matter if you are a 400lb junk food eating slob yelling for your parents to bring you more. It’s what you do that defines you my little dancing parrot sidekick.

You defend a criminal system of corruption never seen in any other nation that feeds a small minority of citizens the majority of the wealth of the state, and it happens at every public level. In a state where the average family income is roughly $51,000 we have meter maids making $100,000, patrol cops making $400,000, and some firefighters stealing the same.

The help should not bring home more than the boss under any logical and rational world, only in the fantasy world of the RAGWUS does the help receive up to ten times what the boss receives.

Your friend Rizzo received what he deserved, his pal Adams has not been brought to justice as of yet. When the paradigm shift happens the corrupt RAGWUS will be a thing of the past, and the people will have lowered the pay of the hired help!!

Rex, you know TCS is the product of nepotism, with RAGWUS feeding parents. There is no other way this clown would have survived in the private sector.

He can’t stop Dancing Rex. TCS is the most prolific dancer on the circuit!! He just loves Al and his attempts at changing the weather by lowering the number of births in Africa. 🙂 🙂

U Haul– Your posts are like a clear mountain stream of refreshing enlightenment building the SQUIDWID narrative and keeping the tea bag reactionaries from frothing while rant spittle cakes in the corners of their corpulent whine holes.

    Thank you.

In cow punching land they use donkeys to scare off marauders that may kill the cattle…..donkeys have a mean streak. Our beloved Donkey has fallen for the Collapso tomes….poor Donkey….so impressionable…..I wonder wear he hangs his GED these days!
