Voter Fraud Election Protection

Katy Grimes: Election Protection, the nation’s largest nonpartisan voter protection group, is preparing for an eventful election day tomorrow.

In a press release sent out today, Election Protection stated that it found that during the 2008 election, “many eligible voters across the country lost their right to vote because of inaccurate voter rolls, poorly trained poll workers and problems with voting machines.  In California alone, more than 10,000 incidents were reported to Election Protection with voters facing problems with registration, early voting, polling places and absentee ballot requests.”

Most interestingly however, is that according to Election Protection, “Nearly 13 percent of the nation’s absentee ballot problems came from California.”

The  Election Protection coalition, confirmed that there will be Election Protection representatives in and around California tomorrow.

The “campaign is advertising a free voter hotline (1-866-OUR-VOTE ), and encouraging voters to use it election day to seek free, confidential and nonpartisan advice on registration and voting, or if voters experience or observe voter fraud.

Election Protection offers 10 Ways to Prevent Voter Fraud, including verifying your polling place location, your registration, or taking advantage of casting a provisional ballot on election day if necessary.
