‘Affordable’ Care Act hikes rates for Californians

President Obama now is denying he said of your current medical insurance, “You can keep it.” But videos show him making that promise at least 23 times.
Well, my insurance was canceled by him, even though I was perfectly happy with it. And I don’t know what comes next — except higher rates.
So the president messed up my life. Oh, and so did Gov. Jerry Brown and the other top state politicians busy as bees imposing Obamacare on me.
Costs for insurance under the “Affordable” Care Act — a/k/a Obamacare — are up 41 percent nationally. A new graph breaks down the increases by state. Click here for the whole country.
But here are the graphics of the data you get when you click on “California.” The numbers are for monthly premiums. So multiply by 12 for the yearly cost.

Bring Ol’ Sparky back to CA?
California hasn’t executed anyone in more than 8 years. And just 14 since it was allowed again in 1978. Problems
You are going to pay a little more in order to help the poor and those in need of health benefits. By spreading the wealth of all we can do good for all!!! Private sector corporate greed ruined the health industry so blaming Obama for trying to fix the problem and do something about is not the answer.
NTHEOC: LOL. “pay a little more”? How about 41% more on average for all Americans. And you get a crummier health care plan that could kill you. Obamacare will bring down the Democratic Party next year. Not that the GOP deserves it.
And look at the chart: It’s another burden on young people, in addition to paying for Social Security, Medicare and absurd college debt. What kind of sick system puts massive financial burdens on young people, instead of allowing them to be free to marry and have kids?

Public employee GREED, specifically firewhiner greed, is the major cause of the poor not having healthcare, as the REGRESSIVE taxes, like the sales tax, are used to fund the $200K life styles of the blue collar unskilled firewhiner jobs.
Deflecting your scam on others will never work.
The message conveyed by ACA is simple. Become a parasite and you will get rewarded. A similar message is being spread to indigent foreigners. Sneak across America’s borders and you will get rewarded. Free education. Free health care. Child tax credits. Etc… Naturally it’s the producers and those who foot the bill who get the short end of the stick. What happens when you spread the message that producers get punished and parasites gets rewarded? Easy. A toddler could figure that one out. You get fewer producers and more parasites. Now, what does that do to the work incentive and GDP? Are young healthy people going to work 2 $10/hr jobs to subsidize old sick people with their discretionary income? I don’t think so. Eventually when they figure out that the American dream is dead and that they got caught holding the empty bag – it won’t be pretty.
I’ve talked with a couple dozen people who got the insurance cancellation letters after Obama promised them that they could keep their doctors and health care plans. Obama also told them that if they made less than $250,000 that ObamaCare wouldn’t cost them an extra nickle. Remember? I do. Several voted for Obama. And now they’re livid. I told them to save their anger and indignation for after they find out how much more they’re going to get soaked for their new ObamaCare policy. lol. Several of these folks were throwing parties after Obama was first elected in Nov/2008. lol. No joke.
Wait until the federal subsidies tied to Obamacare end the entire system will crash causing yet another budget crisis.
Sad just sad.
I still say we take this program for a test drive, try it out. If it blows up we dump it, if it runs OK keep it around a while. I normally would NOT want to get the gov involved, in anything, but our healthcare model is so upside down and sideways that the gov can only make it better IMO, because it cannot get any worse.
Rex: It already blew out. The despots already canceled the plan I had and liked.
This will not end well……we all know it….they know it…..and Christmas shopping just around the corner…..
The problem with obamacare is the timing. Just as we are coming out of the big recession, in kicks these huge tax increases( thats what justice Roberts called them) that takes huge amounts of spending money out of Amerika’s pockets. Just as the housing market levels off, suddenly people have no excess money to by a house, or pay off their current one. Buying new cars or lots of Xmas presents is out of the question. And the next round of cuts from the insurance companies comes just as the 2014 election hits in next November. That’s when the employer mandate kicks in and we’re looking at close to 100million Americans will loose their health care they were promised by Obama. Close to 3 times as many people will lose their health care, compared to the amount Obamacare was supposed to cover in the first place. Obamacare may cause a net LOSS in covered Amerikans by the tune of over 60 million people. Instead of covering more people, Obamacare does just the opposite.
But don’t think the republicans can profit from this debacle. They will find a way to blame it on Ted Cruz( who has turned out to be 100% right when he tried to stop Obamacare).
Hondo……….
The problem with Obamacare is the democratic party sought to fix the wrong problem. You have a health delivery system whose costs are almost double what they are in any other industrialized nation. Obamacare simply expanded access to this inefficient and wasteful system by trying the transfer the cost, which is over $8K per person on average and come up with a method to make it more proportionate with income. It is at its heart a cost transfer system in the insurance market place. And its currently doing this first in the individual market, then it will move to the small business group market and eventually to the larger plans. Corporate America knows this and is likely working very hard on plans to bribe their elected representatives to mitigate the damage.
Billions subject to that ” giant sucking sound”.
Sad!
The chickens come home to roost. I applaud what is happening so as to actually force the clerks of the world to wake up.
Hahaha.
And yes, I have not been able to hire anyone full time in fear of what is coming with this new “new”.
